Charles W. Howard, Jr.

On January 2, 2010, our beloved leader, Patricia
Long, lost her father,
Charles Howard. All of the 4-legged babies and our APFL family are so sorry
for the sadness
that she and her family are feeling. Without Pat, APFL wouldn't exist and many
animals may not have found their forever homes. Please keep Pat and her family
in your thoughts and prayers. Her work with the animals keeps her close to God
and I pray that He will help her through this difficult time. Pat, we all love
you and want to help in whatever way we can.

On January 5, 2010, Ms. Mary Long passed away due to complications from a
massive heart attack. She leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Alan &
Patricia Long. Please keep their family in your thoughts and prayers.

On August 20, 2009, Kneicea Tull lost her father,
Maurice Rounds. All of the 4-legged babies and I are so sorry for the sadness
that she and her family feel. Kneicea is a Godsend for all of us. She is our
website coordinator, vice-president, secretary, volunteer, and our best
friend. She is very special to us. I pray that God will guide her through all
that she is facing and that God will lift her heavy heart. Please think of her
in your prayers.

M. Wayne Simmons

We would like to offer our
heartfelt sympathy to our faithful volunteer, Kim Bradshaw and her family. Mr.
Simmons, Kim's father, passed away suddenly on June 23rd. Kim and her family are
in our thoughts and prayers.

John S. Beirle
On 2/20/2009, Mr. Beirle
lost his courageous battle with cancer, leaving behind his loving wife of
forty-six years, Betty J. Beirle, and his loving four-legged companion, Misty.
(Adopted from APFL on 08/11/2002, Misty is a Border Collie.) In lieu of flowers,
his family has generously asked that donations be made to A Pet For Life, Inc.

It is twelve (12) years today since my mother passed away. The more time goes by, the more I miss her terribly. I would like to honor my mother who never gave up until the very end.
