Just saw the picture of
"Scruffy", now renamed "Cali", I believe. It's very comforting to see & know
she is so happy with her new dog friend & family. We know of Pat's rescue &
relayed info to people we knew who had been taking care of feeding a stray
for many months. They did not want the responsibility of owning, due to
traveling. It put one's mind at ease to know when a pet is turned over to
Pat, she does the Very Best in finding them a forever home, one that is safe
& secure. I just want to thank you
Pat, for taking care of my dog Champ, and stepping in when I was no longer
able to take the proper care of my pet. You are an angel and may God bless
you and your organization as you step in to take care of His creatures here
on earth! I like the info and the
pictures of your pets. Success stories are great.
As a life-long multi-pet family, we are
delighted that our daughter and son-in-law have recently enlisted your help in
finding the perfect rescue dog to join our grandog, Tucker, and grandcat,
Bailey, in helping to raise our lovely grandaughters, Riley(4)and Camryn(1).
From the wonderful things I have read on your website, I know you will find the
perfect match resulting in one happy extended family! In just one conversation
with Pat and a visit to the website, they are eagerly awaiting their first
visit. (The only problem is that there seem to be TWO great possibilities right
now and a choice must be made.) Thanks to the readers who look to organizations
like APFL to help the many wonderful pets that need forever homes. I look
forward to following and supporting the work you do for the benefit of both
animals and people. God bless you for your compassion and dedication to our four
legged friends! The website is great! On May 29th, 2009 Pat
came to pick up "Scruffy" from our house. The family who found her was
not able to keep her & Pat was kind enough to take her in!! We were
hoping she would get a nice 'forever' home soon & I would go to Pat's site
to check on her often. Tonight, I am sooooo happy, for I see Scruffy
has been chosen!!!! Pat thank you soooooo much for all the good works you
& your volunteers do for these 4-legged babies!!! Blessings! Cool site. I've read a lot of the
articles on your web site and they touch my heart deeply, keep up the good
work , all of you!!!! Thank you for all that
you do for these animals! I think what you are
doing for these animals is a wonderful thing. I play the mega millions
twice a week every week hoping to win it. I have told my husband over and
over that once I do win it, there will be no such a thing as homeless dogs
or cats. Animals have always been my weakness. I have 5 dogs and 12
cats, 6 cats inside and 6 cats outside. All the animals I have ever had
have all been strays except for one. What a great site, I
will be calling you In the morning to see if Kenny or Patches is still
with you. What a wonderful thing you do. I love your
website. Very nicely done. Will visit again soon. Thank you so very much,
for helping all these wonderful pets. Pat Long and staff May God Bless each
and everyone of you. Hi Pat and Kat (had to write it like that!) I just have to tell you how
much we appreciate all that you do. Oreo is so much happier now after trying
Kota and now keeping Lexi. (We are still thinking of calling her Cookie
instead!) Lexi/Cookie/cutie, whatever she will be called.....is quite an
addition to our household. She is so happy to be here and I'm sure she has
told Oreo all about his old home there. They love each other, he has already
become protective of her and quite the gentleman! Amazing changes. She has
defintely found a home here as well. I'm glad we wound up 'borrowing' her
next :) Thank you! Saw your ad in the
Daily Times. What beautiful and heart-wrenching stories. You have a
fantastic website. May be interested in adopting a small Chihuahua/mix in
the near future if you have one come available. Loved the pix of Mario
and Kernel. Have an 8 yr old long hair chi and would love for her to have
company. Keep me on your list please. Thanks. I love your site. Me
and my mom look at it frequently. We just discovered how to help with our
mvp card. We are going to register today. Thank you 4 loving animals so
much. Just delightful &
informative.
This site was very sweet. Thank you!
(Signature only) God bless you - I wish
I could do this, but I would want to keep every animal I brought in. Many
blessings to you and your organization.
Dr. McAllister's office gave me your web
site. They all have nothing but wonderful things to say about you!!!
This site is very nicely done. And thank you
for all the great work you have done for these animals.
This is so great that you take dogs and cats
that no one else will and find them a home. My stepmother adopted
Ginger a poodle from you. What a doll baby! She is such a gem. The work you
do is so important. I wish there
could be some type of laws to keep people from breeding dogs. As a groomer I
always inform owners the importance of getting their dogs fixed. And when I
get a call about where someone can get a Labradoodle I let them know that
the Humane Society has plenty of those and it will save a life and save them
all that money they were going to spend on a mixed breed dog from someone
who is just out to make a buck. Not caring one bit what will happen to the
ones that end up shedding or getting to big or slobbering all over the
place. Well keep up the great work, and Thank You! What a wonderful
program. I had no clue that you even existed. Please continue
your work and know that there are many like you out here who understand
that a dog or cat isn't "just a pet," but a thread in the weave of your
family-when they are pulled out they leave a hole. I just wanted to thank
Pat for watching our "babies" while we were gone on vacation. I HIGHLY
recommend her boarding facilities to anyone looking for a loving, caring
environment to leave their animals in while away. I think our precious
doggies got better treatment from Pat than us and that says A LOT since
they are queens of our house!!!!!! Thank you again for being wonderful,
Pat. If you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to call.
Thank you so much for our new BABY! She is a
wonderful addition to our family and we couldn't be happier! I love your site. I
think it is wonderful what you all are doing. I have 6 cats and 1 bird
that are rescue babies. If I could have hundreds more I would. Keep up the
good work. You guys are doing a
great job and we hope to adopt a pet from you all. I think that what you
are doing for these animals is absolutely amazing and inspiring. If in
any way you need help, please contact me....I'm a serious animal
lover!!! God Bless Thank you for everything
you do! Susan P recommended
your website. I have 2 dogs; 1 of which is 16 and a puppy 9 mo, that we
adopted both from the SPCA. I think it's such a wonderful thing that you
do for these innocent helpless animals. You must be a special person to be
doing such a special thing. I know that when my "little old lady" is no
longer with us that I will hopefully be able to give one of Pat's animals
a chance in my home. Very nice website. Kneicea the website is
awesome. I check at least twice weekly to see what new additions there may
be or who was lucky enough to find their forever home. Pat is proof there
really are angels among us. The devoted care and compassion she has for
her "children" truly is neverending. My 4-legged children, Puss a/k/a
Ludwig, "New Cat" a/k/a Bubba are my two cats from APFL, Zoey my Chihuahua
is also one of Pat's children. Tess my Sheltie mix and Blu my Weimaraner
are with me because of Pat. While not at APFL, they were homeless in our
local shelter and through her I found them. God Bless you and Pat and keep
up the great work for the sake of those that can't speak for themselves! (Signature only) (Signature only) I love what this lady
does. Great work! Beautiful web
site. "Waddles" is loved not
only by us BUT by everyone who sees him. I appreciate Pat being able to
take care of him while we are on vacation. Pat is a blessing!! Pat, Thank you so much
for all your help! You truly are a great person :) Caitlyn B Wonderful website. I think it was very
well put together! Toby is a sweetie! Wish I could adopt him for myself.
My brother & his wife have 2 cats. Pat, it has barely been
a week since we welcomed Oreo into our family. He is so happy and such a
joy to all of us, Louie and Taz love him dearly and they are all very much
family members! Oreo sleeps with Sean on his bed (or he likes to snuggle
with me on the couch in the attic!!) He is such a wonderful dog, thank
you!! He has a home for life as do each of our rescues :-) Hope all works out for
all the pets. They just need a good home with lots of love. God bless you Pat and
Staff. The world needs more people like you! Love what you do. Keep up
good work. We are looking for another dog :) Hello, I just
finished looking at all the cats & dogs needing a home or have been placed
in a home and what a wonderful service. I am a huge animal lover and care
greatly for all animals safety and health and if there is any thing at all
I can do to offer my help I will, I would have more cats & dogs if my
living arrangements allowed. I have a kitty her name is "Serenity" my best
friend!!! My apartment only allows 1 kitty and I have 2 parakeets. Thank
you so much for this wonderful service you provide for all these beautiful
animals! Hey Pat! Great website.
I look on the site all the time for friends looking to adopt a baby. Sorry
to hear you are no longer with Go Glass, but great news about your new
venture. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!! Pat is a blessing to
animals. We have adopted two dogs from her and they are the loves of our
lives. This website is a great way to aid in her mission. And I will be
visiting it often. Just in case we decide to add on any more "kids" to our
family. I would recommend anyone to utilize her services whether it be
adopting an animal or boarding their animal with her. She is wonderful.
Keep up the great work, Pat. I got my cat, Aaron 2
years ago from Pat and it was such a nice experience and you could tell that
Aaron was very well kept care of. Enjoyed talking with you
and your site. Keep up the good work. Hope to see you soon about some of your
lovely charges. Love the website!!!
Hope you all are doing well! Special hugs & kisses to "my babies"!!! Thank you for recognizing
Cole! We are from a long line of pet lovers and have obviously passed it on
to our children. Thanks again for all you do. Pat, thanks for what you do
for the dogs and cats of this community. This website is well put
together and I love it. This organization is great. Keep up the good work!!!! awwwwwwwww Thanks for letting us
visit with Max. He seemed like a good dog, but didn't touch us as much as we
hoped. Saw Pumpkin's We have been thinking about
adding a new member to our family. We love looking at all the little critters on
your site. Great website! I tell
everybody I know to check out this site if they are thinking of adoption. What a great site and
service. I am in love with Max, but we rescued a male Lhasa from Georgia
about a year ago which might not work. Pat found me a wonderful
dog. Pat is fantastic and a true Godsend. If you are ever looking for a dog,
you have found the right place! I think you are doing a great service!! Hi!
Dr. Mike McAllister recommended your website (and you) for a possible placement
of a dog for my elderly parents (their dog was very sick and was put down last
week-they are now devastated but not yet willing to say they will adopt another
pet). So I hope to talk with you in the near future! Thanks for all you do for
our four legged friends!! See our comments for
"Waddles" (for success story) Note From Webmaster: To see Waddles' story, click on the link for our Adoption Success Stories Page. Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy viewing your website. I check it
several times a week. I was blessed with one of Pats dogs several years ago.
Homer!! He is a one of a kind. He is the love of our lives and everyone else
that meets him. He came to Pat from Crisfield Md. I can't imagine life without
him. Thank you Pat for adding these special friends to many peoples lives. Love it! Keep up the good work! Pat came to our rescue and is helping us find a new home for our Beagle - Nellie. I am so grateful for the safe and caring "temporary home" she has with Pat, and I hope that the family who makes Nellie a part of their family loves her as much as, or more than, we do. She is a wonderful girl. Can't wait to come see your sweeties. I'm hoping I will be able to adopt one of them.
I'm so happy I found your ad when I was in Ocean Pines. Hope to see you soon. My mother, Sharon Thurston, told me to check out your website. I am so glad I did. What a wonderful service to animals you are doing.
It is my dream to one day have a sanctuary. In the meantime, I do what I can for whatever little critter comes into my life.
I wish you continued success.
Thank you.
Love your site. It gets better all the time.
Pat is an angel! She is a
blessing to the animals as well as the human lives that she touches. My husband,
Matt, and I met Pat four years ago. Since then we have been given a mountain of
encouragement, suggestions and friendship. Two of our dogs, Abbey and Mollie,
were both adopted from A Pet For Life. I continue to visit the website weekly to
review the photos. I like to be updated on the animals who are up for adoption.
This website helps to get the word out. Great job on the upkeep! It is an honor to work with
Pat and the animals. The web site has been a labor of love for me and I hope you
all enjoy the features we have added. My husband and I adopted a dog from Pat
and the experience was quite refreshing. Luke is a very special dog. Pat is a
wonderful teacher of animal behavior and she is a wonderful person. We need more
people like Pat in this world to help with animal rescue and to make this world
a better place.
